Deferred Student Online Chat

The email reads:

"Thank you for your continued interest in Georgia Tech.
As a deferred student, you are invited to join us for one of our live web chats this month. These chats, led by our admission staff, will allow you to speak directly with our counselors regarding the next steps in the admission process."

I was wondering if anyone was deferred in previous years and participated in this. What did they talk about with you? Was it video chat or over text? If video, was it weird video chatting with an admission counselor? ect.

Any info would be great.

My son did not get that email - did it come to your Buzzport or personal email account? When did you get the email?

@threeofthree: It came to my personal email that was on my application. There is another session Thursday, Jan. 24, at 9:00 p.m. EST so he didn’t miss his chance. His login and invite code that he needs should be in the email.

For anyone else wondering about this, I just had it and it was pretty stress-free. Deferred applicants and ~5 admissions staffs were all in one chat room while they tried to answer all questions that we had. Even if you don’t have anything to ask, I’d still suggest going because other people asked some questions that I wasn’t thinking of.

Thank you!
