Deferred Transfer Fall 2011

Hello I was wondering if anyone has been in my situation, or could help me. Any advice would be appreciated. I applied to UCF in January as a transfer student. I was deferred pending a transcript with my AA. posted on it. I had to take a class this summer in order to complete my AA. My two year school Daytona State is not confirming degrees until August 15. I already have a transcript waiting to be sent out as soon as degrees are posted. However since the last Orientation is on the 19'th, and classes start the 22'nd this leaves me a bit worried. I went to the Daytona campus, and the man there told me he would put me on his list. I have no idea what that means. My grades have been great. I am more worried about the time table than getting accepted. If anyone has any tips, or any advice it would be awesome. Thank you!

hello…im in the same situation as you! i finished my AA from miami dade and thats what ucf was waiting for. they recieved my transcripts and i have been calling and calling since the last orientation is this coming friday! i called this afternoon and the girl told me that my transcripts are there and i should know by 24-48 hours if i got accpeted or not. which is by Wednesday! i hope i get it as well but i need to know by wednesday becuz i dnt even have a place to live yet! if i get in i have to go right away and look for a place to live! have you gotten anything since your post?

Yes just today. I was lucky since my two year school has a UCF campus right next to it. I basically walked into the admissions office for UCF and they told me to go to the records office at Daytona and walk my degree over. She said they would let me know, but there is a “secret” last minute orientation after the 19’th on the 23’rd for people in our situation. I then went home checked my ucf and found out I was accepted. My advise is call them both schools, and keep calling them don’t stop. Good Luck it was a stressful week of uncertainty.
