My son got deferred in Univ of Illinois Urbana engineering.What are the chances of him making it in spring and what should we do while we wait to increase his chances in this univ?

@chipmunk73 usually UIUC doesn’t really want anything else and looks down on people sending stuff. Read the letter and follow what it says to do like send midterm grades etc. See if his principal or counselor has a relationship with your school admission rep and have them make a call. If not “he” can email his school rep for Illinois and ask the very question you just asked. If anything they will know he’s interested.
50% of the students deferred, I think get accepted but continue getting good grades and start looking at other schools as options also. Have him get excited about a few schools not just one.

my son did an internship in engineering in his junior year and then subsequently hired the next year as a Laboratory Assistant,Does that carry any extra weightage in Georgia Institute of Technology?
