<p>I don't really know if mine is or not. Is it okay to ask for college matriculation data from the counselor? i want to know how good my school is (Public).</p>
<p>Cutthroat competition over limited resources and staff, hovering parents over student academic process, PTA meetings are stacked full of anxious guardians, teachers are stressed over the number of recs they have to write in application season, the valedictorian has taken over a dozen AP classes and half a dozen community college classes, your elections are run by a dozen students in each position, your school state scores are above the roof, your local neighborhood real estate values fluctuate on your school performance, your school takes pride in "cultivating the 'leaders' of tomorrow", relatively low violent crime rate (this does not include substance use), high offerings of AP/IB classes, high average standardized scores, high AP pass rate, Newsweek features your high school on its list... </p>
<p>Basically everything that covers the shallow word "prestigious"</p>
<p>So hmm....the exact opposite of my school!</p>
<p>My school would like to be that, but it just ain't. It's getting there.</p>
