Delayed Mid-Year Reports

Dean J,

My sibling is an applicant for the class of 2014 (IS). Report cards for the first semester were supposed to be issued on Feb 5. Due to snow problems, the report cards are to be delayed until Feb 11. There has been four additional snow days since the announcement of the new date, and my best guess is that there will be two additional snow days tomorrow and Thursday. So it may well be the 15th (hopefully) before report cards are issued.

The guidance office's head count was slashed this year due to budget constraints and it has been historically slow anyway, so I bet it is not until the end of Feb or even early March until the mid-year report goes out. How much of a problem will this be? Can he/she send something else in the interim?

Thanks.

This sort of thing happens somewhere in the country each year. When the mid-years get here, they get here. We know that this is beyond students’ control.

If we want students to email us unofficial grades, we’ll send out a mass email. There is no need to do anything at this point.
