Deleting CSS colleges?

Hi guys, I filled out my CSS profile for a few schools during the early action round. I’ve applied to several more RD schools which also require CSS, so I have a couple questions.

  1. Is it possible to delete the schools I submitted a CSS form for in the early action round? I'm not sure if CSS shares what previous schools you applied for with your newly added school (which I'd like to avoid if possible). I heard that the FAFSA used to do some kind of ranking thing with their schools, but not sure if that's the case for CSS.
  2. Is there any difference between adding one new school at a time to your CSS profile, versus adding all the new schools at once?
  3. Is there a limit on how many schools you can add to your CSS profile at a time, (like the FAFSA 10 schools)?

Thanks!

  1. The CSS Profile does not share information with other schools, as the info is only there so they know where to send the information
  2. The only difference is that if you add one school at a time, it will probably take more time for the Profile to send, whereas when you do it all at once, the profile is sent at the same time
  3. I'm not sure on this one Good luck with the schools you applied for!

Ah, thank you!

I’m pretty sure that the College Board would be pleased to send your Profile to as many schools as you are willing to pay $16 each time.

Yes, unfortunately, it not uncommon to apply to more than ten schools these days, at least within my school.

Also, to update, I called the CSS office, and they did say that added colleges will be able to see previous colleges the form was sent to.
