Delta kappa Epsilon?

I know this was the fraternity that the Bushes went to and many other important figures in american politics and business. I'm doing my Bachelor's in economics next year, and my dream is to be an investment banker. And to break in to banking you need to have connections. So I was wondering if Delta Kappa Epsilon is a bastion of pwoerful connections, a great place to network? Oh and as good place to make great friends and party?
My reason for going to a New England Ivy league school as opposed too Duke or U of C was purely to network and to gain prestige in my degree

In your only other post on CC, you say you’re 15 and that Duke is your dream school. Sudden change of age and plans?

Young people are notoriously confused.

Write that in your college essays and you’re automatically out. Just a heads up for when you apply. :)

^^ who is this guy? Alex P Keaton reincarnated?

You wanna be an IBanker? Bust your tail in your math classes. Not worry about whether DKE is a path to insider connections.

He’s got a point though. Despite what we’d all like to believe, networking and connections and unfortunately, “prestige” is an important part of life, not just college. A lot of successful people in terms of their professional relationships, are quite incestuous. It can be extremely difficult to get in if you don’t have 1 foot already in the door.

Yale is not the right college for you. It is not the right place for someone who just wants the prestige of the name. It is overtly hostile to people who just want to be i-bankers and make a lot of money. Save yourself the trouble and apply to Harvard or Princeton instead of Yale… those will be better schools for you.
