WOW.. well I'm over it, already. I'll ask my guidance counselor to call the Admissions Office on Monday, simply because I'm curious (even though the SATs could very well be the reason). I'm going to a great school next year and I'm ecstatic. For those of you who got into Wash U and are going, best of luck. I'm out.

where are ya going?... just curious

I'm going to Emory -- Wash U's archrival. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAH. Just kidding, only healthy competition. But I'm very happy with my decision especially because Emory and Wash U are similar or identical in various aspects.

Peace out.

robertgregorydt what else did Hochberg say about Olin admissions? MID 1500s! That sounds higher than or at least as high as Wharton! What about admit rates or any other poop. Deperate for info on this process at Olin.

bergss, I am in the exact same situation as you.

I also applied to WashU. I showed an incredible amount of interest at WashU. Since I live about 6 blocks away from WashU, I attended practically every event that WashU hosted for prospective students. Then, I got waitlisted.

However, I was accepted to Emory, and that's where I'm going. Btw, we have the exact same SAT score (1320), and similiar SAT IIs.

turkeybreath- he basically said that with this years class, Olin made a huge jump to reverse the belief that the B-school was one of the weakest among the programs at Wash U. He also made the point that Olin and Wharton had been working together with the same consultants to modernize their respective b-school curriculums, and given that fact there are definately parrallels between the two schools. It safe to assume that Olin is learning from the best, Wharton that is, to create an elite and respected business program. Just a bit of info shared with me from Dean Hochberg, or ex-Dean Hochberg, he was just replaced by a Dean Gupta. He said nothing of the admit rate, but I have heard that overall, over 21,000 applied RD to Wash U and 1600 or so were admitted.

I wonder if your admissions contact is the same person in charge of voting your file "in" or "out" for admissions. I got in RD without attending any events but the interview (ACT 34, no SATs) and even then, I made it very clear to my alumnus that I had almost no intention of attending WashU.

Bergass, the only reason I see, for not getting into Wash U is the SAT scores.

I disagree.................
