Demonstrating passion for philosophy

Hey,

It seems it is hard enough to demonstrate a passion for the humanities, but even harder for philosophy. I am already a Senior, and I'd like to know how I can back-up my interest in philosophy in my application.

My EC's are mainly international relations/history focused (such as model un, volunteering at Museum) which is I think as close as you can get to philosophy (although literature focus too is good)

philosophy club? philosophy classes? teacher recs/essays?

I also have a passion for philosophy. I started a Philosophy Club at my school, wrote about philosophy in some of my essays, and my teachers/counselor will probably mention it in their recommendations. Also, I'm in the IB program at my school, and chose Philosophy as my subject for my Extended Essay. After I finished writing it, I submitted the essay for publication in an online philosophy journal.

What areas of philosophy are you most interested in? If it's political/social philosophy, then that obviously relates to your ECs. As a senior, though, it's probably too late to start anything substantial. But even if you aren't into any specific area, you can still always write about it in your essays, and try to have your recommendations mention it. You can also indicate philosophy as your intended major (if that's what you're planning on). But in the end, I wouldn't worry about it too much.

Yeah, actually social and political philosophy fits right. I am very interested in general philosophy as well, but not so much in the ideas themselves but in the historical and social context of those ideas. I like to learn the progression of ideas in history. Intellectual history is probably what you'd call it.
