I saw a sign today that someone posted, about a stolen Targus backpack that included notebooks, etc.

What's somewhat amusing and worth discussing are the following lines on the post (not exact):

"Please return the backpack to the DeNeve front desk, no questions will be asked. My friends saw you steal the backpack, and we figured out who you were on facebook. If you don't return the backpack, we will call the police and have them take action. We even had a surveilance camera to have proof, so please take action. (something like that)"

What's lame is this:

1) If your friend knew that the backpack was being taken away, then stop the person. Why are you catching this on tape instead of taking action?

2) How can you find this person on facebook, unless spend a lot of time online just to track down this person? Ties to #1, you should just stop that person when you had the chance instead of doing this "crime investigation".

3) It was your fault for probably leaving your backpack out. Why are telling this even to the public indirectly, when only you and the suspect are involved and responsible for this case?

I don't know if you have seen it .. but yeah if you have .. what are your thoughts?

i've had family members call me asking me what's going on over here....even people who don't live in this state (and one who doesn't even live in this country) are asking me about things going on here...haha.

Yeah it's all over the news, all over the internet, all over everything.

There have already been TWO looooong Fark threads about the incident. HuffPo and Perez and their mothers have all written stories which their commenters have completely misunderstood and twisted to hell.

I heard about Marcus... it made me very sad on a personal level. I used to be good friends with his younger bro Jason back in the middle school days, til they moved cities and we kinda lost contact. It was cool seeing Marcus do well here, and I didn't wanna believe it at first. RIP Marcus

Also, apparently one of our current player's (Jeremy McGee) mom passed away today too... definitely hasn't been a good day or really, good week for the UCLA family.
