Denied by Engineering school, but still want to pursue engineering. What now?

<p>Hello, I recently got my admission decision back and although I qualify for automatic admission I did not get into the Cockrell School of Engineering at the University of Texas at Austin. However, I still want to purse engineering but the only problem is what do I do from here? The only other available majors are either Liberal Arts, Education, or Undeclared... What major would be the best decision, or which would be the best decision to internally transfer?</p>

<p>Another problem:
For the upcoming summer freshman orientation we have to choose which major specified orientation we are in and I have not chosen one yet since I do not have a major... help please!</p>

<p>Send an email to the admissions office. Let them know about your situation. Ask what major you should start with in order to eventually transfer into engineering.</p>
