So after the dreadful wait process, I come to find that I had gotten denied to ASU today… I applied as a transfer and really thought i had a chance having my 1st semester being a 3.8 and I am currently in my 2nd semester which will be around that range. I did horrendous in HS ( 2.3 GPA 1110 SAT ) and I assumed they would look past that but I guess not. On MYASU it stated "
You are not admissible at this time. Please contact Undergraduate Admissions at 480-965-7788 for options. " I still have hope for this school! Any tips? Could that statement mean I could try for an appeal? Someone help me.

It looks to me like you were not considered because you have less than transferable credits. From ASU website on transfer admissions:

Transferring with 24 or more transferable credits:
Students with 24 or more transferable credit hours and a minimum 2.50 cumulative GPA are given serious consideration through the individual review process.

Transferring with fewer than 24 transferable credits:
Students with fewer than 24 transferable credit hours must have a minimum 2.50 cumulative GPA and meet freshman aptitude requirements to be considered through individual review. See freshman admission requirements.

So I would guess that if you keep up the great grades through your second semester, you have a real shot, assuming you will have 24 transferable credits.

I would certainly call them. And although the priority deadline for scholarship consideration is April 1, you still might be able to apply in the summer when you can send an updated transcript.

sounds like you should start by calling that number and seeing what they tell you!

Thanks you guys! I will call tomorrow, and I’ve figured it had to do something with credits, I will keep you updated!
