Does anyone know the address for the dental clinic at west point? I already sent in my x-rays and other dental info in the pre-addressed envelope they send us, but since then I've had my wisdom teeth out. I've been told by several people to send in a letter to the dental clinic stating that I had them out, but I can't find the address. I could just send it to West Point admissions, and I am bringing copies with me on R-Day, but I'd like to send a copy directly to the dentists if someone can help me out!

DENTAC (845) 938-2106

I understand that you require another set of xrays to prove the wisdom teath are gone, have heard a letter from dentist will not suffice. That is hearsay - call DENTAC

You don't necessarily have to have wisdom teeth removed unless they request it do you? I ask because I've only sent in my dental forms and X-rays recently(today) and the wisdom teeth worry me. They're supposed to send some form of confirmation letter aren't they?

my admissions officer told me to go ahead and send in my xrays before I got the teeth out, which I did, with a piece of paper stating when I would have them out and if they required any other info I left my phone number. (I got them out on the 1st, a way to end my last day of HS, looking like a chipmunk on the 4) I haven't heard anything from them, so I haven't sent them anything else.

Based on our talk with admission folks, might want to have a "panorama" made post extraction.

I also think that there is no need to have your wisdom teath extracted prior to Beast if they are not bothering you, no matter how grim the x-rays look. But I think yoiu have to press West Point for that OK and they will not give it the first two times you ask. Your dentist will of course present your wisdom teath like a medical emergency that f not dealt with will ruin your army career. I think most wisdom teeth x-rays look to any dentist (and I apologize to any dentists reading this) like two car payments on the Lexus. They will always give the most grim view and a deadline like Beast is too hard to resist to most of them. I even wonder if the majority of wisdom extraction is medically warranted - and no, I dont wear a copper bracelet. Interesting things coming out of the British Health Network about "needless" wisdom extraction.
