<p>lilyrobin, you’ll find that verbal crap is the worst that you’ll get walking around NYC in your red sox gear (if you have any), or even in most parts of Yankee stadium. The only exception is the bleachers in the Stadium… those guys are animals… chug from flasks before (and during) the game, and plenty of them manage to get knives past security. I’ll wear my Pedro jersey in the upper deck (and suffer the occasional thrown peanut), but not in the bleachers.</p>
<p>I’ve only been to one Sox/Yankees game that was home for the Yankees (it was at the old stadium), but man it was nerve wracking. They were brutal. We were sitting in the grand stand, literally last row, furthest up. Thankfully we pounded them and their fans mostly shut up/walked out by the seventh inning…</p>
<p>I tend to make a point to wear a Sox shirt when I’m in NYC, so I’m kind of used to it. I just don’t know if I can keep it up actually going to school there-some of the things they say are down right scary.</p>
