I was told that approx 70% of students have single dorms, and instead of it being a lottery system like other schools you kind of just get to pick. Is this true or just an exaggeration?

You get to pick freshman year, but there's no guarantee you'll get your first choice.

The other years, it's a lottery.

I find it hard to believe that there are that many singles, really, but I don't know.

Ya I was told that on my tour. I wasn't really sure though, but I would assume that singles probably cost more anyway.

nope, froshie year the singles cost the same.

My interviewer told me that if you ask for a double they will always give it to you, and most likely if you ask for a single they will give you that. She also said singles > doubles.

it seems to kind of balance out. there are fewer singles, but alot of people really don't want a single. so i dont think the number 70% is that unrealistic.

on the other hand a know at least 3 people who got their 5th choice, which is SUPPOSED to be impossible, so you never know
