I'm deciding b/w Pomona, Northwestern, and Tufts, probably leaning towards Pomona, but as of yet I'm definately undecided as to my major. I really want a school where I will be able to pursue whatever I decide to. So, I'm wondering what departments/majors at Pomona are the best and which might be a little weaker? Is it pretty well-rounded? I just don't know much about the individual departments...

Pomona seems to be incredibly well-rounded for a school of its size. Don't forget that any gaps that exist can be filled by cross-registering at the other 4 colleges. It's one weakness would be engineering. There are a lot of strong depts and opportunities for inter-disciplinary study. Media Studies seems to be something unique where Pomona would excel over almost any other college. I wouldn't worry about finding a suitable major at Pomona. There are plenty! Unless you are going into engineering, then you should probably base your decision on other factors. good luck...

Because Northwestern and Tufts are universities, you should explore the ease with which you can change majors there. For some areas, it could require transferring from one school to another within the university. The joy of an LAC is the ease with which you can change or add majors.
