Hello,

I am going to be a senior in the fall, with a major in Business and a Minor in International Affairs with an East Asian concentration. I have made highest honors and the Dean's list every semester but this last semester (long story, but my GPA is still strong, even with a more average semester) and I need to decide whether or not I should write a thesis next year. I need to write a thesis to graduate with departmental honors, but I am trying to decide if that is worth it.

The professor for the thesis seminar, who is the chair of the Business dept, has been extremely difficult to deal with on a number of occasions, and I've been really unhappy with the dealings I've had with her so far. Therefore, I am wary of taking her class.

So my question is, for getting into the top law schools, would receiving departmental honors be an important addition to my application? Or would it not really have any impact?

Thank you.
