<p>Do you recommend doing departmental honors ( i have to do a 40-50 pages research additional to the course load)</p>
<p>I am confused whether to go for it or not. I am a 4.0 student. I am afraid that it could affect my GPA.</p>

<p>Go for graduate school.</p>
<p>Doing an honors thesis looks excellent on graduate school applications, especially if you know what you want to study at that level and plan your thesis around that. It is also very rewarding, and many schools will bind it into a book form for you and keep a copy in the library.</p>
<p>I would highly recommend it. If your grades start slipping and you don’t want to finish it, then you can always stop. I’ve heard from friends who decided to do departmental honors that they felt very fulfilled with it.</p>
