I mailed my depost around April 16, but I haven't received any type of response yet. I checked the tracking number for my check, and they say that my deposit arrived in LA around April 17, which means it should have arrived in Boston in late April. I'm overseas ... is this normal? How long does it usually take for them to register it? I'm kind of afraid that they didn't get it ... and so that means they wouldn't have reserved a spot for me =/

Not considering the check got to LA on April 16.

I would think tracking numbers would also tell you that your check reached Missouri the next day, New York the day after that and then good old Wellesley. My understanding of tracking numbers tells me that everytime something gets on or off a truck, the tracking gets told. Being the 7th of May, I would suspect Wellesley has started or completed most of its tallying of students, and give you mailed yours three weeks ago. It sounds like something was lost. Get a copy of the tracking record up, call Wellesley (okay, you are overseas, email). If they can't find it, ask their advice of whom to call.
In a week or two, Wellesley will start sending the stuff you need to get done and send back.

Has anyone who mailed in their check around aquafoam heard anything from Wellesley?

I mailed my check from Chicago on 4/30 and got my acknowledgement postcard today (5/7). It is dated 5/4, if that matters.

It's possible that the postcard is still in transit back to you, but you may want to call and check up, just in case.

I called them a few days ago and they said that they have received my deposit, but have not cashed it yet. It's been almost a week since I called, and I STILL haven't gotten any type of response. I'm quite surprised at their inefficiency, and when I email, there is usually almost no response (or it takes them quite a long time to respond).

The confirmed deposit is the biggest deal- I don't know what would happen if someone's deposit was lost in the mail.

Wellesley will send you some papers that will need to be returned, but you will have plenty of time to deal with them.
