Notification after you send in deposit?

<p>Hey, everyone. It's been a while since I posted, but after all the worrying and waiting, I'm happy to say that I will be a part of Wellesley College's Class of 2014! :) </p>

<p>I made my decision on April 29 at school and told my parents to send it into the post office, and it seems they used express mail to send off the deposit... Tracking via USPS tells me they received it April 30. So, I was wondering if we're supposed to receive some sort of notification after we sent in our deposit? Thanks!</p>

<p>You should be receiving stuff about ID numbers/log in info, etc in June. They might send a postcard or something after the deposit, but I don’t remember right now. Perhaps a non-senior remembers better?</p>

<p>I feel like they should send you something though. </p>

<p>If others are concerned that their deposit was not received, please call admissions to ask.</p>

<p>They sent me an email confirming that they had received my deposit about four days after I mailed it, so if you didn’t receive anything you might want to check in with admissions.</p>

<p>Thanks for the replies! Yes, I plan to check and call admissions if I don’t receive anything by at least Thursday since my mom tells me I should wait a bit and see. Any others receive anything after sending in your deposit around last Friday-Saturday??</p>

<p>Do keep in mind though, that if you mailed in your deposit last Friday or Saturday, admissions probably isn’t getting it until today/tomorrow or so. Give them until the end of the week or maybe early next week to get everything in order.</p>

<p>Yes, I know. However, my parents sent in my deposit by express mail on Thursday, so they received it on Friday according to USPS tracking but I haven’t heard anything from Wellesley yet…</p>

<p>Has anyone heard from WC about waitlist yet? Don’t they call people by the 5th?</p>

<p>Last year we heard from the waitlist the first week of June.</p>

<p>I have not heard from Wellesley since being put on the waitlist either. The waiting game continues.</p>

<p>May 5th seems rather early since decisions from accepted students are still being tallied then. The earliest would probably be mid-May.</p>

<p>(I’m asking because I am a waitlisted applicant who is considering a transfer to WC in the future.)</p>
