I know this question has been asked in the past. Waiver chances vary year to year. I'm in the process of applying to USMA, but I got PDQ for a history of depression from DoDMERB. What are my chances of getting a waiver? I have three letters from three different psychiatrists saying that I'm mentally stable. I have taken medication in the past, but I have been off of them for just over a year. I'm also about to get a psych eval from another psychiatrist. If it matters, I've held down a part time job, engaged in varsity sports, maintained a 3.8 GPA with mostly honors courses, and have over 300 community service hours clocked. Basically, my depression doesn't affect me. I have SAD so as long as I go outside, I won't have any issues mentally. What are my chances for receiving a waiver? And what else can I do to improve my chances?

Did they authorize a waiver packet? you are correct about the low waivers, being handed out. because the military wants to drawdown all its forces, on everything. you notice they are kicking out people as fast as they enlist or commission. They will find every excuse to do so. i think.
the other reason your also dq, according to the DOD regulations.
(2) The applicant has been stable without treatment for
the past 36 continuous months.
even if you past 36 months they still consider you at risk. waivers for depression are pretty low, compared to soemthing like adhd/add/
