Decisions are coming in a few weeks and I can’t bear the wait anymore.
I thought it’d be nice if I started a thread for applicants to the design media arts department to discuss everything about admission to the program.
perhaps dma applicants could post their admission decisions on this thread!

Seems like no applicants on CC who applied to the school of arts and architecture received invitation for the alumni arts scholarship. Anyone has any info about those? :-/
I got the invitation. I thought all students in school of arts and architecture got the email?
Oh wait, no. The UCLA alumni scholarship invite was sent to all arts students. The alumni ARTS scholarship is only for in state students
I only got the Alumni Scholarship invite. Nothing about Alumni Arts. Is that bad news? lol
:-S @neverbefore no it’s not bad news. invitation for this scholarship is a good sign but not getting invited is not a bad thing.
This is my first choice major as well! It seems to me that most people don’t apply for the humanities in the UC’s. But I can’t wait to get to California (I am out-of-state). I doubt I will get in to UCLA, but it doesn’t hurt to try I suppose 
@neverbefore I also did not receive an invitation to apply for the alumni arts scholarship. I wish there were more scholarship opportunities for OOS students

i was accepted ^^ but i dont think i ever got anything about some scholarship whatevers. still cool though. congrats for getting in

@QNBLUE thinking about it. I would totally be down but the main problem for me is transportation, so maybe, maybe not. what about you?
@spheo17 Yes! Although it’s on a Friday and I really don’t want to skip school and deal with missing assignments/tests whatever it is but I’m sure it’s worth it! I don’t have a car and my family is all busy that day so I’m most likely gonna have to call an uber. I live ~1 hour away from UCLA, you?
@QNBLUE im actually in the same exact situation hahaha. About an hour away (living in OC) but with LA traffic, probably an hour and a half. I’m sure the experience will definitely be worth it, i want to go! 
@spheo17 Then go! I think it starts in the late morning (10am/11am?) so you don’t really have to wake too early. I think it’s really exciting to meet people within the same major, especially with a small major like DMA! Plus there’s gonna be food! My only concern is that I’ll be going by myself, so just a little nervous about that, but I mean, I would totally go just for the food!
