<p>Is the desk chair a regular wooden one? Is it uncomfortable? Do many people bring their own chairs? I have an extra nice chair I could bring but I don't even know how I would bring it.</p>
<p>Most of the chairs I’ve seen in dorms are wooden with a cushioned seat and cushioned back rest. They also rock back a little bit, which is pretty cool. I bought an additional seat cushion for mine and I don’t remember being uncomfortable at all.</p>
<p>The desk chair provided in your dorm should be fine. I didn’t need another seat cushion but you could certainly bring one just in case - that’s easier than bringing a whole chair lol.</p>
<p>Some are wooden chairs. I had one of those.
Others have cushions. I think there were those that can rock slightly back and forth.
And I’ve seen people bring their own.
They also have chairs in the common area, and if you like, I’ve seen people switch chairs from their rooms with the ones in the common area. (Just remember to switch back when they do room inspections, either b4 winter break or some time in Spring.)</p>
