Desktop or Laptop/Desktop?

I'm trying to decide what computers I should get for next year at Cornell. I'll be in the School Engineering, probably doing computer science, maybe some web design stuff.

I'm wondering what would be the best option. I've a laptop, but I also want to build a desktop myself to use. Would having both be an overkill?

Well, definitely bring a laptop - you can take it to your lectures and carry it around with you.
Maybe use that desktop as a server if you plan to bring it? Would there be enough room in the dorm, though, cause that’s the big question.

If you really want to build a desktop, go for it.
I don’t see a use for a desktop in college, though.

Dudeee, im CS in CoE too. I also built my desktop but im not bringing it, only my laptop. I don’t think its overkill unless shipping it there is a pain. Once your desktop is in your dorm it should be fine.

also: Ezreal for life  (you know what i mean!)
