So, let me make this thread a bit clearer and better

I have US green card but have studied abroad since junior high school.

Here in my country there are competitive tests for entering public universities, which are free and the best ones. I have taken biomedicine in the main federal unviersity here, but quit because it was not my thing. I have then entered economics, but I have doing a musical project for 1.5 years that really, really made it hard for me to concentrate on college. Here in my country we can accumulate zeros (if you give up on a subject), since our college grades are discarded for pretty much everything. I'm not making excuses, but my GPA is really horrid if calculating in US terms (in my country its 3.5/10)

But then, tides changed. I started really getting interested in economics and focusing on college, abanonded the musical project since I understood it would take a toll on my life. My family is moving to US, and I HAVE to go.

But I have to go, and I am a transfer student, but its impossible to transfer anywhere I suppose, given my GPA, but I really want to get a good education

Please explain to me how is the process.. Is it via community college? WIll the community college accept me, despite my GPA? If I get a bunch of As in community college, will these be my new GPA and I can transfer to a better college? Or do I just enter the community college and they ignore my academic past?

Please, my family is leaving soon and I am really lost.. information is confused..

I appreciate a lot
