desperate for college to transfer to

Long story short:

I went to Purchase college right out of highschool (I graduated in the top 10% of my very small school) as an art major. I then decided to not be an art major anymore, so I switched to liberal arts hoping to fit in some gen-eds while I figured things out. I then decided to switch to business, which Purchase didn't have.

So I applied to colleges and nothing worked out, so I landed myself in my local community college for a semester.

I desperately want to be out of here for the spring semester, and I have my heart set on a school in a city or close to one on the east coast. The problem is, any decent school I can think of doesn't offer merit scholarships for transfer students. (I only got $5,000 from Northeastern in Boston.)

please help!

How much can your family afford? Grades/stats?

If you could afford Purchase, you should be able to afford binhamton or Albany. Anyhow, I assume you have thought about all the SUNY schools. How about CUNY colleges? They have a low cost and You maybe able to commute, if you are in Westchester.

I had a 4.0 last semester and I usually average between a 3.5 and 4.0. As far as cost, Northeastern was a little out of my price range. I’d like to stay around 20-30k. But really, it would be wonderful if I could go anywhere that would give me a merit scholarship.

Unfortunately most colleges don’t give merit aid to transfers. What about your SATs? So you can afford $20-30K?
