I need to find schools that will give scholarships for 27ACT and 3.91 GPA. Univ of Nebraska? Georgia? Ideas? I've been searching for a long time and coming up with nothing..or at least not enough. Paying for school myself.

What state are you in?

UGa: not likely…UGa relies heavily on Hope scholarships for instate students for merit.

You might try Miss State Univ.

Try Troy University as well.

What is your likely major?

since you’re paying for college yourself getting large enough merit will be difficult. You need almost a free ride.

Even a full tuition scholarship may not be enough because a $5500 student loan won’t be enough to pay for room, board, books and misc expenses.

Even if you are “paying for school yourself”, you might get substantial need based aid if your parents are low income. Do you know what your EFC is?

If you can raise your ACT or get a better score with the SAT you will have more options. Think about that. A gap year might be in order for you.
