I'm an incoming freshman to SUNY Albany. One of the only reasons I applied/enrolled there is because I thought my dad was going to be taking a position at the school, therefore free tuition. I know UAlbany has a lot to offer, but from what I've seen/experienced so far, it's not the school for me.
I screwed up in high school, majorly.

Freshman: Pre-IB English, Pre-IB World History, Geometry, Biology Honors, Percussion Ensemble, Spanish 2 Pre-IB, Marching Band.
Sophomore: Pre-IB English II, Pre-IB US History, Percussion Ensemble, Chemistry Honors, Spanish 3 Pre-IB, Algebra 2, Marching Band.
Junior: English 3 Honors, Spanish 4 Honors, Physics Honors, AP Government, Economics Honors, College Algebra/Trigonometry, AP Psychology

Okay. Senior year I moved in September across the country, but then moved back in December. A lot of credits/classes didn't transfer correctly between the two schools, and my second semester got REALLY messed up.

First semester:
Algebra 3, Perspectives on War, Issues of Contemporary Society, Spanish 5 Honors, British Literature, Art
Second semester: Drugs and Society (online), Contemporary Fiction (online), Spanish 5 AP, and PE.

My overall GPA was a 3.3 and my unweighted was a 3.0
My SAT score was a 1990 with a near perfect score on the reading and my ACT score was a 30. I got a perfect score on the reading section.

I really want to go to NYU, it's my dream school and it's perfectly located so I can continue to pursue my career. I'm very active as an activist for the Asian and Pacific Islander American community. I was involved in Invisible Children, president of Key Club, varsity cheerleader, marching band member, member of OCA National, the Asian American Center for Advancing Justice, and have held two very respectable internships.

Please help to get me out of Albany!!
