On the schedule of dates for Destination Tulane, some are single dates, some are 2-day ranges, and one is even 3 days. Do we just pick one date within that range or will the program span several days?

Those are all single day dates, it just means that there are 2 of them back-to-back, or in the one case 3. Just pick one.

That’s what I thought. Just wanted to be sure. Thanks.

Does it make the most sense to visit during Destination Tulane dates or is it better to go during an off time. I just want to make sure we make the most of our visit. Can anyone give more details on their experiences?

Personally I don’t think it makes too much difference. I guess it depends on if you like a more structured visit or if you are more the self-explorer type. The advantage of DT is that they have people available to answer questions about various topics rather than you having to search them out, plus you get to hear other people’s questions which can be useful. Plus the free lunch, of course.
Anyone that did DT last year or two, please speak up!

Students attending DT are more likely to meet other students already accepted and seriously considering attending (ie roommate possibilities). And as FC said, free lunch. And free lunch with professors.

We are not going to wait for DT. We are going down January 16th and we’ve signed up for the tour on the 2nd day that we’ll be there, giving us some time to explore on our own, go see Loyola (got the ‘big envelope’ today) and then have more of an idea of what questions to ask on the tour.

My son is ready to send in the deposit sight-unseen, but that’s not gonna happen. ;)

He will also audit a class (hopefully a Neuroscience class which really seems to be his area of focus these days). We have the name of someone to contact a week before we arrive, to arrange that.

Can’t wait!
