determining "transferability"??

the ucla admissions website says that in order to be considered for transfer admission, you have to have completed 60 semester/90 quarter units by the end of your sophomore year. but it also says that ucla can't determine if your courses will transfer or not until after you matriculate.

well, why is this significant? i'm a student at usc who is considering transferring to ucla in my junior year. i want to take a class (marketing) which most likely will not transfer to ucla, even just for credit. i'm wondering if this will hurt my chances... i mean, even the classes which i think will transfer.... i don't know for sure that they will. so if i could end up with less than 60 semester units, i should probably try to avoid any classes which i know for sure will not transfer (such as marketing), correct?

or should i just take whatever classes i want to take and assume that it won't matter??

sort of confused about this...

Yeah, what I did was try to take classes at my current school which were either exactly the same or very close to classes at the schools I am applying to. But really, there is only so much you can do...

could one actually get their admission revoked if, after being accepted, it turns out they don't have 60 transferable units??
