DeWeese grade cutoffs?

Does anyone know them from past years? I have been told that the physics department tries to get professors to give the top 25% A's, then a large chunk B's, then a smaller chunk C's and so forth, but my GSI told me that DeWeese does not listen to them.

I just found out I absolutely failed MT2 (56%...) and I need to find out how well I have to do for the final in order to keep a B/B+.

Update:
I found his distribution: https://berkeley.courserank.com/berkeley/course?id=43217&tab=detail
but that does not really tell much about the cut offs

I’d like to know this, too. I didn’t do so well, either.

I took his class last fall, it was straight scale. If you do well on the final, he will likely give you the higher grade in a borderline scenario

yea. but do you know what his cutoffs are? I doubt they are 90 80 70 because distributions show he gives out a lot more As than people who did over 90% on the test.

EastBay was the average last fall similar to this semester?
MT1= ~77%
MT2= ~72-74%
If he was to use a straight scale ad including HW and labs it would seem still that a fat chunk of people would get a C or below and from past grade distributions it seemed like he gave 90% of the class some sort of A or B. Is he starting to follow the department guidelines?

No

Midterm 1 avg was 77 and Midterm 2 average was 85

Overheard Deweese talking to someone during the final and there will be a curve yay!!! He said that some of the questions were pretty hard and I’m not sure if he will curve the whole grade or just the midterms. But I’m so happy he will curve up! =)

To be honest, I thought that test was fairly easy, other than the pulley question and a few math errors, I think I got most of the test

The final was hecka easy. I barely studied (b/c of my crunched finals) and I’m pretty sure I got like a 97% according to the answer key. I was expecting it to be more like the 2nd midterm, which was at least a bit of a challenge.

oh yeah anyone know when grades supposed to be up?
