11:21 - Discovery. They have some...uhm, rated NA-17...programs on UCLA cable. Kudos to my roommate for discovering that.

11:31 - Good gosh, I now blame the Internet for my troubles. And I will now officially diagnose myself with ADHD. To assauge my conscience.

to give you an excuse..................

/procrastination

We're both causing procrastination among each other. Symbiosis, no?

And in other news, at 11:35 PM, I have become a Junior Member! XDD

No-doz pills would be appropriate now. Say, it's like I'm chain-posting now. I'm a chain-poster! Must...stop...smoking...CC!

@8:13am. Class in approx 45 minutes. Might be surprised with a quiz. T/A says she was unsure... hopefully nothing to fret about. Signs of stress = consecutive showers. No signs apparent yet. Waiting until mid-terms with pen and paper in hand. Signing off --

-E.P.

Side-Note: Ayumi Hamasaki's "Real Me" is so bad it's good.

I am tired of this crap.

Screw you chicken salads. . . it is not working out. :(

Oh and I love Ayumi. Blah.

I told you, Emmeline, I told you. Nam is just too much of a coincidence.

Midterms approach in approximately 2 weeks.
^OMG I am barely thinking about midterms. Damn you quarter system!

I am starting to feel homesick. Symptoms began appearing approximately 2 days ago and no signs of approaching illness were apparent during the first few weeks of school.

-Home-cooked meals
-My own bedroom
-My parents
-My dog :( :( :( :(
-Easy HW and no worries

And this too shall pass.

:(

In other news, I have a lot of reading to do for one of my courses. It's not that bad but it takes a lot of time to annotate them. (About half of my exams are based on my readings.) I read a lot of primary documents in my AP history courses so I'm used to this -- just not the volume of reading that I have to do. To give a rough estimation, I had about 150 pages of reading to do my first week and 100-something for my second week. The number of pages oscillates and I don't have a good tally on it right now. I get problem sets on a daily or weekly basis.

As for my general college experience - so far I've been passively absorbing the environment, workload, and my social surroundings. It might just be that it's early for me but I feel numb.

It still feels like I'm at summer camp but for an extended period of time. I go to class "arts and crafts" for a few hours, sleep in a room with 2 random campers and have my own bunk bed, and eat the same routine of food on a daily basis. It's strange.

-E.P. phone home :(

(I'll get over this soon.)

if you read the parents thread mid-october is the time students feel homesick (if they get that way) - classes picking up, routine settles in, initial excitement disappears, sleep deprivation/too muchpartying/falling behind on school work... everyone is sick right now. in my lecture class like 100 people were coughing at once.

womg womg . . .

Ahh, the life of a UCLA freshman. So much to experience, combined with absolute freedom, tends to make one crazy these first few weeks.

I can't wait to be a sophomore, so that I can actually have some experience. Well, experience is good, in a lotta things. Hah!

In other news, I have an essay due tomorrow. Time to excerise my procrastination talents.

Thanks a lot. You ruined the thread. GOSH.

THANKS
A
LOT .

OMG. You edit too much! Now I'm really confused as to why my thread is so insensitive! Is everything I do calculated to be bad?

It's MY thread.
