Hello!

This is my first post, so I am probably doing something that will reveal me to be a newb. If so, I apologize.

I was just wondering if anyone could help me understand my chances of getting into either Dickinson College, or F&M as an out of state college transfer.

I have been going to community college for a few years now, when I first started I got a few C's so it lowered my gpa a bit. I also got one F in my first semester (it was a weird class on "exceptional children" and I messed up because it was online and I messed up submitting a paper). I also have one W from a human anatomy class, because at first I was going to major in nursing. My cumulative GPA is 3.0, but the last 3 semesters at my current college I have gotten 3.6.

I have gotten all A's in my classes pertaining to my major (which is English). I have taken 5 English classes total.

I was a little active in high school. I won an essay writing contest and went to a leadership conference, I won a poetry contest, did some volunteering, and I also helped my community college's literary magazine and got published in the literary mag for writing a haiku in Japanese.

I also took all AP English classes in high school.

I was just wondering what the chances are of me getting into either of these schools transferring from California. Additionally, I went on collegeboard.com and they did a net calculation of my expected grants and the amount of grants I am supposed to get is quite high. I was just wondering if anyone has had experience with the accuracy of the net price calculator on collegeboard, or if it is just lying to me. Haha.

Also, I didn't take the SAT's or ACT's because I went straight to CC. I did pass the AP English test with a 3, though.

Thank you for taking the time to read this.
(again, apologize if I posted in the wrong place or formatted this wrong)
