Dickinson RD 2025

@gemeagles My DD was a recipient of 1783 Scholarship - $25,000. Ended up applying for $35,000 Presidential Scholarship and receiving that in place of initial scholarship. She was also a recruited athlete and applied to Dickinson ED1 and test optional (DD did poorly with SAT math and was advised by coach not to submit SAT scores if below 1250 composite). Tons of community engagement - 200 hours of community service and fundraising manager for the board of a local organization for kids with special needs (this is what she wrote about for Presidential Scholarship essay). In school she was a peer mentor, president of a school club, participated in an academic conference and participated in an academic exchange program abroad, in addition to her athletic pursuits. She showed a lot of interest in Dickinson by touring the school, doing an interview, and meeting with admissions rep at a college fair, which I think compensated for the lack of standardized test scores.
