<p>Hey everyone!
Part 4 of the Dickinson supplement talks about a required statement to three questions. Any idea on how I'm supposed to go about it? For example, should I just write one big fat essay containing all the answers, or should I answer separately? If that is the case, do you guys know the approximate number of words they are expecting us to write in each part?</p>

<p>These 3 questions should be answered separately. There is no prescribed length, but for an example, my D's answer to the first question was 1 1/3 pages, the second question was 1 page and the third question was 2/3 page.</p>
<p>Just write until you have said what you have to say--then edit edit edit! Shorter and more succinct is MUCH better than long and rambling. Good luck!</p>
<p>@Enim write 3 essays seperately. I did the same mistake by fusing all three answers into one 9-page essay and got deferred from ED1. Now I am sending three different which I have revised and edited. I hope I will get in now but chances are minimal.</p>
<p>dg said it. Writing, rewriting is the answer to any question. Her answers struck me as a bit long. Remember, these admissions officers are reading thousands of these silly things. Unless they're fascinating and/or humorous ... well they're just one more essay. Remember, you want them to show several things ... 1. you can write and edit 2. you are thoughtful and articulate 3. you are creative and/or if otherwise, creatively clear 4. You have an experience and/or insight and/or can express it in a most captivating way. Which will yours be. 500 words is one page, short margins, single spaced. Keep paragraphs short and tight.</p>
