Did any international who requested financial aid get in?

Title says it all.

i did. but idk how much aid money their gonna give me, cuz i havent checked the mail for my acceptance package yet.

oh wait. i just realized that u said internation. my bad :)

haha congrats

yeah i want to know if any internationals got in. Its much harder for us internationals, especially those who requested fin. aid.

i did not and i asked for about 40k in aid?..

I did not ask for financial aid. I got accepted. The valedictorian at my school requested for financial aid and got waitlisted.

i’m international, apped finaid, got waitlisted. which is ridiculous cause washu was like a safety for me >.<

wash u is a safety for no one…

agree…i can’t believe someone asking for FA as an international applicant can list Wash.U as a “safety”…
i found ur conceit too naive and preposterous as well…

i knew a Chinese applicant accepted by Wash.U got full FA this year. She applied early decision though…it is said Wash.U does give a fair amount of FA to international applicants under ED, but RD…will be much harder…

what about financial aid for international transfers?

I was an RD international applicant as well. Requested for full financal aid and got waitlisted. =(

I knew my chances were slim, I was prepared for a rejection letter. Hehe at least I got waitlisted.

Same…international…asked for about 40k aid…waitlisted

Yeah…
I applied for financial aid and didn’t get accepted, but the valedictorian at my school (who also applied for fin aid) got accepted.

hey guys
International from Pakistan. Requested significant amount of fin aid and got in.

i didn’t know that washu was need-aware. sorry i’m so naive

Hi,

I am also waitlisted. Asked for around 30k financial aid. Do u think there is any possibility of intl students getting off waitlist. I wonder if WashU wants to have a diverse class this year???

WashU has a diverse class every year. There will be a good representation of international students in the next freshman class. It is not logical to base any conclusions on a small sampling of posts from any web site. Decisions regarding international students are also determined based on their potential fit as part of the WashU community. Some are just a better fit than others. For those on WL and still interested, now is the time to re-evaluate your choice, potential fit and possibly your original application.
