Just curious to hear others’ experiences. We live within driving distance and are considering for next year. My understanding is you perform in front of a panel and you get callbacks for certain schools who are interested in you? I believe you have to use CAP for coaching in order to attend…kinda like Moonifieds. Any feedback would be great!
I would be interested, too! My D will probably attend next year and we’re planning to sign up with CAP after Christmas. I follow them on Instagram where they posted frequently during the event. It looks great! BTW they also frequently have students that were CAP participants takeover the account and show a day in the life at whatever University they ended up at. We have found those very informative.
We did. It was a very well-organized event. The owners of CAP are very caring and nurturing to the kids. Some of the schools were first and final auditions. I had hoped it might mean a shorter audition season, but I think Unifieds are still in the picture.
We did decide to attend this event in Atlanta, somewhat last minute, as a sort of learning experience before Unifieds. We were very pleased with the entire event, the organizers and the feedback our D got from the school representatives. It was very well ran, and the event organizers could not have been more helpful and supportive through the entire process. I would highly recommend this event for anyone and their child because in a highly charged, intense and competitive industry, the CAP crew made it feel very manageable. The feedback, offers and encouragement were a positive boost for our D. The callbacks were all very low-key and helpful. We were hoping it would help narrow down our schools and we could scratch Chicago, but it only got her more motivated to regroup and ramp up for the next round. If you have the opportunity to attend this event with these wonderful professionals, I would definitely suggest putting it on your list of sign ups.
