My son, whose name is NOT Jorge, got an email from LMU admissions office today, thanking him for his application, and stating another email would follow with the status of his application (meaning, whether it is complete or missing items). Did anyone else get this goofy letter?

I know from other threads on this forum that the school is making some sort of switch over in their admissions software systems, so I'm hoping the Dear Jorge letter was just a tiny bug that will get cleaned up before the your-application-is-complete email arrives.

If that one arrives addressed to Jorge, I guess I'll get concerned then...

Chrissie1, it’s pretty funny, I’m sure you will get it. Check your spam filiter? The new subject line is “We know your name is not Jorge.”

It was a screw-up in the first mass emailing they did with their new software system. Testing emails had been sent to one of the AdCom staff whose name is, in fact, Jorge. They just forgot to change the salutation when they sent out the mass email.

Has anyone been given their MYLMU account info yet? or know when it will be coming? I know the email said a several days but it’s been a week now so I was jw. Thanks!

Nothing here for DS except for the Dear Jorge emails-- others have been accepted already it looks like. But DS is more in the average range for grades/scores so he might have a while to wait

Well we got a login for MyLMU! But, unfortunately nothing shows up when we try to go to myPAW to see the application status. Anyone else having the same problem?

yeah same here… kind of getting ridiculous how long its taking for lmu to dish out these admission letters. i already accepted my admission to pepperdine because it was due dec 1, but im waiting for an answer from lmu or nyu.
