<p>Oh…I thought I was special…but what do you mean one addressed to you and another addressed to your name?</p>
<p>The other day I got the two emails. They were both “Is Penn Your Top Choice?” Apparently they messed up in the first one though, and the system didn’t fill in a value for first name. They sent out the same one again, this time with your name filled in.</p>
<p>Today I got the email thanking me for choosing Penn for Early Decision and warning me they didn’t have my full app yet. Gotta send that out soon.</p>

<p>Me as well. I’m guessing it’s just because I visited. I don’t know about the people above me, but I’m certainly not someone they would try to openly recruit. I’m very average.</p>
<p>Guys it’s because of the common app, look at the sender email =_=</p>
<p>Nothing special going on folks, don’t think of it as some magic sign saying that they want you to apply so they can accept you. They want you to apply because you started the Common App, and they want your money. If you happen to be the student they are looking for, you will be selected, if not, tough bananas.</p>
<p>I found it ironic that I got the “Is Penn Your First Choice?” email the day after I submitted my ED app :P</p>
