so I just took the exam yesterday and today I just realized that the second question Was hiding in the booklet because my friend told me. Did anyone else accidentally leave it blank too? Can I complain to the AP exam administration, is there anything I can do about this?
You want to complain… About what? You not reading carefully enough? Guarantee it wasn’t “hidden” – they want people to answer the questions.
All my friends said it was hard to find I didn’t even see it @bodangles and you didn’t even take the exam how could you judge me for not reading it carefully enough?
Easily…because that’s exactly what CollegeBoard will do.
@bodangles lol ok bye. just because collegeboard is a big school corporation doesn’t mean that they can’t make mistakes sometimes and realize its their fault
It’s not anyone else’s fault that you didn’t see a question. If it was on the page, that’s on you for not noticing it.
@bodangles see, this is why you have no right to judge me, b/c it wasn’t even a page, it was a booklet. Before this exam, I was told there would be 2 essay questions. on each page in the booklet, there are blank lines for us to write our essay in and the question on the side. The same question would pop up on different pages so we didn’t have to flip back and forth to read the question. Question #1 was divided into 2 parts to make it look like 2 questions (it was separated by a line), and apparently the second question was in the fourth page. on the front page, there wasn’t anything about a second question, there was only a fourth question. a couple people I know also made the same mistake as me, but some of them realized it maybe 10 minutes before time was up and was still able to complete the 2nd question. And people said that last year, it was different because both questions were on the front page. so please don’t give feedback on things you don’t know about.
@junejiehuang It would have clearly indicated the second “question” with a 2.
@MITer94 did you take the exam?
@miter94 even though it was partially my fault, many of my friends got confused a bit during the free response.
And because you can only take this test once and the fact that this is so official, isn’t it college board’s job to make everything as clear as possible so that nobody gets confused and make a mistake like i did?
Nothing you can do about it now.
@SilverStag88 i know, but can they do something about it? like eliminate the fr question?
It was your fault. It sounds like your friends managed to figure it out. Following directions will be important when you get to college.
What exam is this? Chem, Psych, and Environmental were all yesterday.
@swim1128 psych
@mainelonghorn excuse you, but my psych teacher said it was a little bit of both mine and college boards faults after I told him about this, but collegeboard shouldn’t be making mistakes at all since this is the very last test given to every psychology student in the US. and I already said, I know a few people who didn’t answer the 2nd question either
OP, I can understand why you are upset, but the point is that you didn’t read the exam carefully and you missed the question. No amount of ranting about it is going to change that. At this point, just pick yourself up and move on and chalk it up as a lesson learned. This is not the end of the world.
College Board not make mistakes? Let’s not get silly here. It’s a bummer but you need to just move on. You can’t do anything about it and I guarantee they won’t.
@suzy100 but does that give collegeboard the right to make things confusing? and what if other people made the same mistake?
OP, I also took the AP Psych exam and it was farther in the back of the book than I expected, but it was 1. Part A and 1. Part B on the one page…I knew there was a 2., so I continued to look! I’m sorry you skipped it, but you might as well just move on, and if it bothers you that much, retake the exam next year.
