just wonnnnndering :)

my s applied for the UHP

^was going to apply for the 6 yr ba/md prgm, but didn't on admission counselor's advice that the UHP was a better prgm for him

Just a word of advice about the BA/JD...

It may not actually be as good of a deal as it seems for a few reasons. The program is extremely selective, meaning that only the best students who have demonstrated achievement on standardized tests/in class will be admitted. Additionally, the program requires that you maintain a VERY high GPA. If you were to apply to law school with over a 3.7 GPA and a high LSAT score, you could probably get into a much better law school with better career prospects than GW (it's ranked #20 in the country). Even if you went to GW Law after graduation, you could probably get a far more sizable scholarship than the one that is offered to BA/JD students.

The program could be beneficial for students who don't think they could perform well enough on the LSAT to get into a better law school than GW. Also, a BA/JD student could just take the LSAT anyway and see if they score well enough to go to a different law school.

I did not do the BA/JD program at GW, but I am attending law school next year, so if you have any questions, feel free to ask.

^ Ya, it's nonbinding, which is one of the things that is so attractive about it.

I applied, but I doubt I'll get in. If by luck I get accepted, I will attend GWU - no doubt.

I applied. Doubt I'll get it, though.

i can't wait to find outtt. grrr, probably this week i'm assuming :)

My D got waitlisted today
