Did anyone get accepted for freshmen 09 yet?

I just came to America, I know my English is bad. I wonder whether they treat me the same as you guys.
I just have one semester gap in high school here. weighted is 4.1/4.0. unweighted is 3.7/4.0 but my grad in my country is only about 2.6 my high school can't just translate it, it's so unfair......total is 3.12/4.0 weighted
hope they don't consider my grade in my country.
senior first quarter weighted 4.39/4.0 unweight 3.9/4.0 i don't know whether it is helpful.

SELF-REPORT YOUR GRADES!!!!!

I submitted my application back in October and it was IN PROGRESS until today when I was admitted. I self-reported my grades on Monday or Tuesday.

That is key!!!! Self-report your grades!!!

how did you get accepted today? They only update their system at Night.

And the envelope came today (we live really close to NB)

He got into NB SAS & Business

Stats: 33 ACT, GPA 3.7 Unweighted, 4.3 weighted
Sports for 4 years, some ECs

I think he's going to qualify for the NJ state scholarship but they didn't mention that - I think its automatic based on SAT/ACT and class rank if you live in NJ and apply by Dec 1. They have to call the school for class rank because the school doesn't report it automatically.

wat time do they update the status page if you any1 knows???

carmellate, that is not true. i self-reported my grades back in october, and have yet to hear a decison. I called up the office a couple of days ago and they said it was an admissions "error"<-thats what they called it. They admitted people who applied sooooo close to the dec. 1 deadline, and are slowlyyyyy admitting those who have applied soooo long ago. so back to your statement, it is not true. it is just probably you applied so close to the dec.1 deadline.

yeah! who knows when they update??

im so anxious! i want the decision already...
if i applied the day before the deadline, self reported my grades and applied to NB business how long do you think it will take?

Congrats to everyone who already got in btw! :D

seriously peacoutandrocko, it should be verry soon. i know people who applied the day before the deadline and heard the next day! so, refer to my top entry. good luck man. Go RU!

It just updated.

9:20 EST.

yeah it was just updated, cause mine went from OPEN to ENROLLING

you made your decision already?

OHMY. i think i just screwed up my future.

it says on my status page that im missing my secondary school exam results/leaving certificate. I checked before and my country (the Philippines) was not on the list of the required exam results so i guess assumed that i didnt need it...and when I applied initially it didnt say I was missing anything. OH GOD.

Do you think they would accept a fax? Cause mail here in the Philippines is EXTREMELY SLOW and UNRELIABLE...like it could take weeks if it even gets to Rutgers. Not to mention Fedex-ing it would be very expensive.

What do you guys think I should do?!
Please Help!

Accepted to SAS, Business, and Engineering! I applied last Saturday over thanksgiving break and they received all my stuff by Tuesday.

I got into Rutgers last week. I had a 3.32 unweighted and a 3.63 weighted. My school does not rank. My SATs were R-550 M-790 W-620. I am from New Jersey so the geographical proximity was a good help. My extracirriculars included all area volleyball and 4 years of FBLA. I am also got the most spirited superlative at our school.

Interesting article.

it was written in June 08. SO does it apply to us?

n New Jersey, Rutgers University did its own internal study as well, analyzing the scores and grades of 12,000 freshmen over the last two years and also finding the SAT's writing section as the strongest predictor. The other two sections are math and critical reading.

Rutgers' top admissions official said yesterday that after two years of gauging the new writing section, the state's largest university will begin to factor its scores into admissions decisions next year.

New SAT studies find writing section helps predict how freshmen fare - Breaking News From New Jersey - NJ.com

i sent my SAT scores in last wednesday, sent in RU on saturday - and they still haven't recieved my SAT scores - should i be worried?

I think Rutgers admission office will get huge sue from NJ state resident parent/student, because of their inconsistency unfair acceptance decision. I know many people have over 700 SAT and over 3.5 GPA not have accept as yet BUT same time student SAT 500s,
600s low GPA get accept and top of this Rutgers accept student apply
later than student early who has good record.
This admission office is out of mind and not doing their job.
Many good students who net accept from Rutgers as yet but they are having acceptance from other higher ranking state university.
This is totally not acceptable as NJ residence that pays TAX for State.
Rutgers will lose more their creditability while they play stupid game.
go Rutgers you never become Michigan, you will be great if you make GPA 4.0 and SAT 2100 as cut off but you accept 500s and low GPA students and not accepting SAT 700s and high GAP State is killing yourself. Just their brain is not functional as SAT 500s students brain.

^ grammer son!!! where is the grammer?

^Spelling! (Grammar)

Also cvcknight I really hope english is not your first language.

The reason as to why certain people with lower or perhaps even different scores have been admitted and others haven't is simply because of the enormous mass of applicants that RU has to go through. I've been waiting since mid-October, and I also have pretty good scores. To all that are still waiting.... be patient and chill out.
