I'm just curious if anyone got this $1,000 scholarship?

Is it in our fin. aid report?

I am wondering about that too...

bump.........

It should be coming out this week. Anyone notified yet?

Anyone hear about the alumni scholarship?

Hey guys any news come on UCB...

laneb,
I did get an alumni scholarship letter, but I haven't heard anything on the regents...hopefully someone has heard something from them

hey luvtoolearn, may I ask what your GPA was.

3.7 (10 char)

nice luvtolearn, also how were you informed about the scholarship? do you go to bearfacts? or do they send you a leter in the mail, or an email?

I got a email 2 days ago saying that I have passed the semi-finalist round and moving onto the next round.

i think its funny that ucla regent scholars are on this thread wondering if they got it. The funnier thing is this: Unlike ucla, berkeley does not set a limit for regents (4.0), so anyone could technically get it. Also, they are only going to take in 30, so their chances are even slimmer! good luck anyways :p

mojo...who on this thread is re: UCLA?

the person that started this thread aznhyboi and celiheartscc

hey modjo and luvtolearn,

My efc is 0. I think one of you guys were in a similar boat. And my financial aid package comprises the

2155 pell grant
3431 uc grant
218 fee grant
250 grant
2750 loan
1307 work study

... all of which is off- campus but it is wrong it is supposed to be on-campus.

My question is do I need scholarships if I wish to not pay for the school out of my pocket.I cant get the breakdown in my head. I heard that if I was to get a scholarship from somewhere, the scholarship would only take some amount away from my financial aid package. It is not as if the scholarship money is for me to spend on personal things, it is merely for school which you never see and never touch. Can you guys clear that up for me? Does it look like I will be paying some out of my pocket for Cal?

call and ask!

It looks like your getting a little over 10k in grants...you will need to either get a scholarship or loans to subsidize living expenses since that barely covers tuition and fees/books...what about the CAL GRANT? Did you apply for the CAL GRANT?

you too are brighter than the people Ive spoken to over the phone... they have been rude every time, I have been very kind to them, they take deeeep breathes on to the phone expressing their disapproval of me calling them and asking them why I was put on off - capus and such... I just dont want to talk to such people.

About Cal Grants... I Was under the impression that the Colelge automatically send out my information about the Grant... But I dit not attend school for the Winter and Spring semesters.... so I have no idea about if they send out my information or not
