Did anyone get in Cal as Math Major this year???

I was looking at the "transfer decision 2011 for cal" thread, and i'm little scared......

Seems everyone posted on the thread as math major get rejected......

One guy even has a 3.95 GPA.......

Did Cal admit any math major this year???????? How come he has 3.95 and got rejected....

bump~~bump

Even with a 3.95 GPA Cal will often reject applicants who have not completed all of their lower division general education requirements and prerequisites for their major by the Spring of the year they plan to transfer. That is probably what happened in this case. I do not think there are a lot of people who want to major in Math so if you have a good GPA and all required lower division courses completed in a timely manner at your CCC you should have a decent chance.

FTR, the average GPA of graduating math majors at Cal is INCREDIBLY low - and has one of the lowest departmental GPAs on campus. Check back in past posts on UCB Coll Conf for more info if this at all concerns you.

@Lemaitire1, hmmm, that make sense, thanks. I’ll only have one prereq left after this fall and it will be finished by spring. So that’s a good news.
@killmyentourage, lol, i’m not worrying about math classes, they are easy and fun!!! XD
