Why wouldn’t you take them if you are a serious applicant?
SAT subject tests are optional. Stanford recommends them, and will consider the results of at least two, but they are not required.
As such, I think you should assume that while there are some admits without them, the strongest applications will want to include good SAT subject scores.
I was fortunate and lucky enough to get in without them. So it is possible, but not necessarily recommended Good luck!

I’m not a recruited athlete, but my application was definitely strong on all fronts. Stanford is very cool in that they’ve dropped the subject requirement, but it certainly wouldn’t hurt to add a competitive score to your file if you believe you can do well.
