Did anyone get in?

On the Caltech website, they said:

"We have now finished processing all of our early action applications. All early action applicants were sent an application status email (to the address indicated on the application) on Friday, November 9 at noon (Pasadena time). If you did not receive an email please contact our office at (626) 395-6341."

Does that mean they already sent out decisions to those with complete application?

Also they said that my humanities/social science evaluation is missing: when do I expect to hear the decision?

No, that doesn't mean that they've made their decisions: It means they've sorted through everything and made them into nice little bundles to get read. I think you have about a month before decisions actually go out.

what I didn't get one...

i should probably call them...

I got an e-mail saying my application was complete. I submitted it online. Does this mean my school sent the transcripts on time? Or should I just go ask my school if they did send it in?

Where did it say that one of the recs. had to be from a social science/humanities teacher? I got mine from a math and a science teacher, but got an email saying that I was missing one from a s.s./h. teacher. Was this just supposed to be implied or did I miss something?

"Caltech requires teacher evaluation forms from one math or science teacher and one humanities or social science teacher."

From the Freshman Application Instructions, available here:
Caltech Undergraduate Admissions: Admission Forms

i got this a couple days ago, but didn't get the status email for all the required stuff! ahh!! where did you find that?
:With this e-mail I would like to acknowledge receipt of your Common Application
and Caltech Supplement for Early Action.

Seven to ten days following the application deadline, we will contact you
regarding the receipt of all of the credentials required to complete your
application. Due to the heavy volume of mail around the deadline, this will be
our first opportunity to accurately advise you of the completeness of your
application. If a recommendation or transcript is missing at that time, we
will give you an opportunity to send it to us with no penalty.

I do want to remind you that Caltech requires official test scores be sent
directly from the testing agency. If you have not arranged to have official
scores sent please be sure to do that immediately. If you have already done
so, you do not need to take any further action.

On behalf of the admissions staff, faculty and students of Caltech, I want to
thank you for your interest and encourage you to be in touch with our office if
there are questions we can answer for you in the weeks and months ahead.

Best wishes,

Richard W. Bischoff
Director of Admissions
California Institute of Technology

Just so you guys know, decisions for EA Applicants will be sent out on December 15.

Aw man.........

i didn't get the email
and i checked with all my friends at my school who are applying early.
all of us only got the " we got your common app + payment+ supp"
not the one that tells you if you are missing any parts...

How are we supposed to know whether or not our research papers were received?

I indicated that I would be emailing them by checking that box-thingy on the Caltech supplement, does this mean if they were not received it would have been mentioned in the application status email?

Or... must I take initiative and email the admissions office directly and/or phone them?

Sorry if I seem like a worrywart :X, I just don't want to needlessly pester the admissions folk who are probably pestered enough by all this delicious paperwork.
