Did anyone send an update of an award or other accomplishment?

If so, did you send it to the specific admissions officer and did you ever hear back?

We sent an update that S had been nominated for Presidential Scholars program. It was not sent to a specific person (didn't know there was a list...) and we did not hear back.

i sent an update about added classes and couple small awards plus interest and never heard back

I told them about two things. I didn't hear back, but I didn't expect to. I just wrote to the office of admissions.

I sent an email with a few things, and I got a reply right away, saying they would add it to my file right away.

This was a few days ago.

Really? After sending schools supplemental material, none of them ever informed me that they had received it. I called 2 of them with a question and asked if they received it and they said that it was definetely added to the file.

Hm, maybe email is the preferred way to tell them things?

I sent them letters via snail mail to let them know about my acomplishments over the past few months

I sent them a letter about a few accomplishments. It was sent to the admissions office and I did not hear anything back. I think this is normal and to be expected (given the volume of kids sending additional materials). Kristina's probably right- e-mail is probably the preferred method of communication.
