I have since scored 800, but I was wondering how I got a 670 on my prior one with only 4 mc wrong and 8 essay. It said I had 68/80 MC and I only got 4 wrong. I can provide proof if anyone wants.

Sorry but thats right. For example, on May 07, that would have scored a 690, and there was a very forgiving curve on writing that time.

That’s kind of ridiculous for only getting 4 wrong. Life goes on.

Actually, what hurt your grade was not the MC. Your essay was weak. A 12 essay would have netted you a 760. Don’t overlook the essay !

a 68/80 and a 12 was a 740.

I got 2 wrong, and a 8 on my essay, and I got 650. Harsh curve? Hell yes!

Audrey: This testing curve was already the harshest curves can get. I’m sure 2 wrong and 8 essay will not get you below a 700. I got 1 wrong and 9 essay, and getting up with a 770. You’re telling me that 1 more wrong and 1 less on the essay loses 120 points?

The OP’s situation is possible, but I doubt this statement.

That is possible. In January I got 1 more wrong than and same essay score as the other person, but my W score was 50 points lower.

Yeah, I wrote in January this year. I can only guess that it was the essay :(

^Highly doubt that since I missed 7, had a 9 on the essay and scored a 650. Pathetic and I hope Saturday goes better. :/

8 essay. 2 wrong, 2 omitted. 690. I still don’t understand how my essay ended up with an 8. My last one had 11.

No Writing curve in January of this year was that harsh; I just checked the QAS. You must have missed more MC than you thought.
