i though ti wud have gotten at least 2 wrong to get a 760. guess im wrong
is the writing curve always this harsh lol?

no, it’s not always that harsh. last january i got an 800 with one wrong and 10 essay.

I got a 740 with one wrong and 8 essay last year. You got 20 points better than me for one essay point.

I got 720 with one wrong and 8 essay. 40 points more for one essay point? =/
And I keep seeing other people on these forums with 730 for the same 8 essay and 76 MC subscore as me. CB makes me sad sometimes…

i have a friend who last year got a 760 with no wrong and an 8 essay and she was so ****ed

My son got a 710 for one wrong and a 7 essay. Really disappointing for him because he did not finish the essay and his cruddy essay score really downgraded his overall Writing score. The Writing section is so stupid because so many colleges don’t give it much weight and it’s an imperfect way to judge how well one writes.

I wish the College board would just combine the CR and Writing sections and go back to the 1600 scale, because frankly that’s the way most schools analyze SAT results.

its ok i got a 720 with a 6 essay and perfect MC :(

no wonder i was ****ed at my writing score. i got a lot of questions right that usual and my score was still low. the curve was super harsh…

Yeah. I got one wrong and a 10 essay and my score was 760!!

aw man. seems liek this cirve was indded hard. do colleges look at ho wmany you got wrong on the sat or just the score?. do they know about the curves too?

I was a bit surprised when the details came out too. I got -3 and a 9 essay and got a 710. Thought that would be worth like 730.

i got a 750 with a 12 on the essay and 3 wrong on MC…i was ****ed
