Did ED deferees get in?

So far I haven't heard any good news from the ED deferees... did any of you get in.. in the end?

tear the great columbia ed'ers. I know a lot of them got rejected. Which is typical anyhows. I'm sure you know about sexydesi

NENYA! you're everywhere!! everywhere i post, you follow me lol.. hehe luv ya babes!~

yeh sexydesi and i talk a lot.. she was RD though, not ED... although she was ED at heart..
but yeh i haven't heard any good news from the ED deferees.. :(

it's the way things go, I know there were a couple ed'ers who got in who really didn't post until the rd round. Hopefully some of the people who posted a lot from the ed round got in

yeh i hope so.. just haven't heard of any good news from them though.. my friends didn't :(
i was hoping to see them on campus...

oh yea you're going to barnard right?

yup i am :)
it's the best thing that happened to me lol.
no more dilemmas and tearing my hair out cus of indecision!!! :) :)

that's so exciting! The columbia rejection was a blessing in disguise. :) Where is sexydesi going?

oh it totally was... i feel truly blessed.
i mean i got into some great schools in the RD round, which made me really happy and padded up my confidence.
and it just turned out that all my prayers were answered and i can live my dream.
lol.. it's so corny, but i couldn't have asked for more. i really hope that everyone realizes that things do work out in the end! :)
ooohh i bet you can't wait to get started with this whole process lol.. it's one helluva ride!!!
sexy is going to middlebury!

I am I'm so pumped up! I've been waiting so many years for my senior year..and I'm almost there! Dartmouth's (my new first choice followed by brown) is sending out applications in june...I seriously can't even wait. I finally get to start this journey I've been waiting for ever to start! You're definetely proof that things can seem really bad in the beginning, but it does really get better.

Don't wish too hard though..
it's senior year.. and I'm so sad. I came home yesterday after school and just BURST out crying..
I had my last english lesson and I was so emotional.

And I was chosen to do the graduate's leaving day speech with this other guy Sean... and we were just touching it up and I started getting so emotional and crying again.
I'm gonna miss HS so much.. I totally am ready to move on, but I'm just so sad to let go of HS... I love it.
and I'm pretty jealous of the juniors right now.
My last day of school is this coming tuesday.. I have 1 day of school left...
and on the last day I have to do a speech in front of my whole school of over 3000 people.. I just hope I can hold the tears back..

Seniors here still have 20 days of school left, and graduation isn't until June 10th. It hasn't even been determined who'll be the valedvictorian (though unofficially everyone knows). People aren't really emotional yet because there is still a bit of time left. I think after prom (May 14th) those last days will be really hard. I've got some senior friends leaving me :( Good luck in all of your future endeavors

Yeh 20 days ago.. I wasn't.. 20 days ago, I was like "OMG I CANNOT WAIT TO LEAVE"...

Now, with one day of school left, and tuesday being the VERY LAST day where we come in just for an awards assembly with the whole school from the kindies to our grade (and that's where i'll make the speech) ..and then our grade 12 leaver's assembly and tree planting.. it's REALLY hit me.. and I can't control my tears...

You guys have prom before grad?

We leave school on Apr 26th.. go into exams.. then graduate on May 24th, and we have the "formal" after that, which is our equivalent of a "prom".

Thanks hun... and to you too! - Good luCK! :) KIT!

Yes, prom is before graduation. Seniors typically leave 1-2 weeks before the rest of the school lets out, depending on year. Prom is a really huge deal- the very last time all the seniors will be together at a dance. You only see so many people a day (400 students are in the senior class), so prom is truly the last time before graduation you're with the entire senior class. We have alot of end of the year activities for the seniors, student-given awards, barbeques, the senior olympics, etc. That must feel really weird having just 1 day of school left!

Just wanted to give some future ED deferrees hope -- I was deferred ED and accepted RD.

It really does feel very weird.. we've just been having spirit week.. so much fun, but it's really distracting.. our IB exams are just around the corner.
We have lots of things too like the BBQ, awards, assemblies lol.. a lot of fun.. I'm gonna miss it alllll toooo much!
On monday, a group of my friends and I are as going as barbies lol.. me as Hula barbie.. then on tuesday, we're going as ballerinas lol. how cliche!!!
I have to really hit the books though.. wanna do well in the IB.

Yeah I was deferred and accepted, and now I will be attending Columbia in the fall! I can't wait!!

I'm glad things worked out for you silver! So the decision came down to Barnard huh? We may meet up some day in Morningside Heights!

Thanks davidpien! I remember you from the ED round :)
Yeh, I decided Barnard was my perfect place.
UChicago just wasn't very me..... lolz
We will meet up for sure!

tear this is so exciting. Everyone is happy. I will miss you guys so much next year...you've taught me so much!
